On June 2, 2018 we will commemorate the 76th Anniversary of the Midway battle and those lost from Ewa Field. Ewa Field symbolizes the phoenix rising from the 1941 ashes to in 1942 leading the in the Pacific War. Ewa Field was a primary training and staging area for the June 4-7, 1942 Midway battle. The Battle of Midway was a major turning point in World War II. The Imperial Japanese Navy lost two thirds of its aircraft carriers and many of the crews and officers aboard them. The victory at Midway was made possible because of the immense skill and bravery of the men who fought in the skies, on land, and in and under the sea.
